Soo Eun Chae received her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Education Major and English Literature Minor from SungKyunKwan University, Seoul, Korea, in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and her Ph.D. degree in Human Development and Quantitative Methodology from the University of Maryland at College Park, U.S., in 2011. She worked as a research intern at the American Institute for Research (AIR), Washington, DC in 2007. She has studied measurement equivalence and vertical scaling and involved in large scale longitudinal data analyses incorporating children’s cognitive development. She also worked as a research fellow in Korea Educational Development Institutes. Since 2013, she has been an assistant professor in the Department of Education at Gangneung-Wonju National University, South Korea. Her current research interests are civic education, technology use in learning, and epistemic changes.
